You don't need ANY experience to join the MSU Archery Club; you can stop by and try archery for FREE, twice! Afterwards, there is a $30 semester fee for club dues. We have great, certified coaches to help you get going, as well as a great group of team members to help you out. Regardless of your experience level, we encourage you to stop by and see what we're all about. No equipment? No problem! We've got equipment you can use from beginner to intermediate. Below are some examples of equipment that the club has for you to use.
Practice Schedule
Archery is divided into two seasons, indoor and outdoor. Indoors, the club shoots 18m (roughly 20 yds). Outdoors, the competition distances are 50m for compound shooters and 70m for recurve shooters, but we have targets set up at all distances for all skill levels. Additionally, there are 3D targets that the club may shoot at for those who shoot 3D competitively or for hunters wanting to get their sights set.
The club practices at the MSU Demmer Center. The facility is on the corner of College Road and Jolly Road, south of campus.
Practice is 7:30PM–9:00PM on Sundays, but you are always welcome to shoot at the center during the public hours listed on their website for a minimal fee.
